Liverpool’s Loris Karius makes another screw-up vs Tranmere

Loris Karius screw-up vs Tranmere

Liverpool have played two pre-season matches this summer.

Sadly for Liverpool keeper Loris Karius, he keeps on making mistakes for the Reds.

Karius is trying to rebuild his confidence after last season’s Champions League final against Real Madrid.

However the German goalie is struggling to impress.

Last weekend, in the warm-up before Liverpool’s match with Chester, Karius made this error which was caught on camera.

And on Tuesday night in a friendly against Tranmere, the German suffered another facepalm moment.

Karius flapped at a Tranmere free-kick which lead to a goal for the hosts.

Jurgen Klopp on Karius

After the Tranmere game, Klopp once again came to the defence of his goalie. Klopp said:

Yes he could have made that save even though the shot was not easy to deal with.

I’ve seen this situation 500 times at least in my life – ‘Bam’, against the chest, (ball) going down.

Now Loris concedes that goal but we cannot start the story always after each mistake. Mistakes will happen.

Tranmere 2 – Liverpool 3

In the end Liverpool beat Tranmere after going 3-nil up in the friendly.

Rafael Camacho fired the Reds into the lead in just the eighth minute. Sheyi Ojo doubled the Liverpool lead in the 27th minute, before Adam Lallana scored a third in the 33rd.

Tranmere gave their fans something to shout about in the final stages of the match.

Oliver Norburn and Amadou Soukouna both scored against Klopp’s men.
