Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris is expected to return from injury at the end of the month, according to L’Equipe.
The 31-year-old is expected to be sidelined for ten days which would see him return to face Huddersfield Town.
Hugo Lloris’ ‘additional ten days of rest’
Tottenham Hotspur were dealt a setback in the return of Hugo Lloris on Friday after announcing he would out for ‘several weeks’.
The goalkeeper continued to feel pain in his thigh and further scans showed the injury had not fully recovered.
However, L’Equipe’s report states:
“The goalkeeper and captain of the Blues will have an additional ten days of rest and miss Spurs’ first Champions League game.”
Should Lloris miss the next ten days with the injury, the Frenchman is likely to return for Spurs’ clash with Huddersfield.
However, he would also miss fixtures against Liverpool, Inter Milan, Brighton and Hove Albion and Watford.
Dele Alli doubtful for Inter Milan tie
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed Dele Alli could “possibly” miss Tottenham Hotspur’s Champions League tie against Inter Milan
The 22-year-old withdrew from the England squad on Monday after suffering a ‘minor muscle strain’.
Pochettino told Sky Sports:
“Alli is a bit unlucky, he suffered a small injury after 20 minutes against Spain.
“Disappointed, because we’re going to miss him for this game, and possibly Inter Milan in the Champions League, but it is not a big issue.”
