Wolves 2 – Chelsea 1
Are all hopes that Chelsea could win the Premier League now over?
Chelsea have lost twice in their last three matches following Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat at Wolves.
Wolves won the match the hard way after Ruben Loftus-Cheek fired the Blues ahead.
Wolves hit back with two goals in quick succession in the second half. Raul Jimenez levelled while Diogo Jota scored what proved to be the winner.
Alvaro Morata’s penalty shout vs Wily Boly
But should Chelsea have won a penalty at the start of the second period.
At the time, Maurizio Sarri’s men were leading the contest 1-0.
Had Chelsea gone 2-up, would Wolves have been able to stage their comeback?
Spanish striker Alvaro Morata has turned into something of a parody in Chelsea’s attack as he continues to miss chances week in, week out.
But Morata was taken out by Wolves defender Wily Boly as the attacker tried to connect with a cross from Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Boly, with a tackle from behind in the Wolves box, didn’t get anything on the ball.
Instead he upended Morata.
So why wasn’t a penalty given?

If that tackle from Boly on Morata is anywhere else on the pitch it’s probably a foul. Because it’s a last-ditch clearance, it seems to get overlooked in a lot of cases, but he’s gone from behind and gotten a bit of everything, i.e. a foul.
