Liverpool paid 14 million pounds for the midfielder however by 2011 he’d left Anfield.

Overall he scored 22 goals in 146 games for Liverpool.

Babel left Liverpool to join Hoffenheim.

Babel’s Besiktas record

Ryan Babel has been at Besiktas since 2017.

His contract in Turkey expires at the end of the season.

This season Babel has scored four goals and grabbed one assist for Besiktas in 12 league matches.

Is Babel what Fulham need?

Many Fulham fans may instantly question the Babel deal.

Doesn’t Claudio Ranieri already have enough attacking wide players on his books in west London?

If Babel is arriving, why did Fulham sign Andre Schurrle in the summer?

Luciano Vietto and Ryan Sessegnon also operate in wide areas for the Cottagers.

Instead of signing Babel, shouldn’t Fulham be looking to bring in a new defender this January?

After a 2-1 defeat at Burnley on Saturday, Fulham are second bottom of the Premier League with 14 points from 22 games.

Fulham have the worst defensive record in the division having conceded 49 goals already.
